A healing experience and connection with the sacred waters of Humantay Lagoon, considered a place of purification and rebirth in the Andean worldview.
Andean Ritual Tour in the Humantay Lagoon
Cusco + Mollepata + Soraypampa + Humantay Lagoon + Soraypampa + Mollepata + Cusco
- Humantay Lake is one of the most magical places in the Andean mountain range. Surrounded by snow-capped peaks and deep turquoise waters, it has become a sacred space where ancestral peoples have honored nature as a source of life and energy.
- The journey begins very early in the morning, with a private transfer from Cusco to the town of Mollepata. There, you will enjoy a traditional Andean breakfast, accompanied by coca or muña infusions that help with acclimatization and prepare the body for the day ahead.
- At Soraypampa, the hike to the lake begins. This is not a rushed route, but rather a mindful walk guided step by step, where each moment becomes an opportunity to breathe deeply, listen to the silence of the mountains, and feel the energy of the surroundings.
- Upon arriving at Humantay Lake, the landscape invites contemplation. In front of its crystal-clear waters, a ritual table is prepared with flowers, coca leaves, and natural offerings. In this sacred space, the Ritual of Rebirth is performed, which includes:
- Energy purification with water and flowers.
- Offering to Pachamama and the guardian Apus, in gratitude and respect.
- Guided meditation by the lake, to release burdens, open up to new energies, and plant life intentions.
- Personal time in silence, to write down thoughts or simply be embraced by the strength of the place.
- The experience concludes with a typical lunch in Mollepata and the return to Cusco. The body may feel a light fatigue from the hike, but the spirit returns renewed, with the sensation of having received a blessing from the sacred mountains.
