TRAVEL ITINERARY
Cusco – Ollantaytambo - Machu Picchu – Ollantaytambo - Cusco
- We will begin our tour Machu Picchu by picking you up at your hotel very early to make the most of the day. In a comfortable transport, we will go to the Ollantaytambo station, a trip of approximately one and a half hours. There, we will board the train that will take us to the enigmatic town of Machu Picchu (Aguas Calientes), a journey of approximately two hours during which we will enjoy the impressive landscape of the Cusco jungle.
- When you get off the train, our tour guide will be waiting to give you some instructions and accompany you to the CONSETTUR bus station. A short 30-minute bus ride will take us to the entrance gate of Machu Picchu, one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World.
Inside the Inca citadel, we will embark on a guided tour of approximately two hours.
- During this tour, you will feel the unique energy that this mystical place emanates and you will marvel at the architectural work of the ancient cultures that left us an invaluable legacy. Don’t forget to take as many photos as you want, including selfies, to show off to your friends and family!
- After exploring Machu Picchu, we will return to the Town of Machu Picchu on the CONSETTUR buses. There, you will have free time to enjoy a delicious lunch (own expense). You will receive the final instructions from our guide about your return by train from the town of Machu Picchu and finally the wait of our staff who will be near the Ollantaytambo train station to take you in our mobility to the city of Cusco, where our tour Machu Picchu will end!

✔ If you plan to hike Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain, secure your tickets at least 3-4 months ahead.
✔ Train tickets (especially Vistadome or Expedition) should also be booked early to get better schedules.

✔ Cusco is at 3,399 m (11,152 ft), and Machu Picchu is at 2,430 m (7,972 ft)—some travelers may experience altitude sickness.
✔ Spend at least a day in Cusco or the Sacred Valley before visiting Machu Picchu to acclimate.
✔ Drink coca tea (available in hotels and restaurants) or take altitude sickness medication if necessary.
🏛️ Choose the Best Circuit for You
✔ Circuit 1: Upper part of Machu Picchu – best for the classic panoramic photo but does not allow access to the lower part.

✔ Early morning (6:00 AM – 9:00 AM): Magical sunrise, cooler weather, fewer crowds.
✔ Midday to afternoon (10:00 AM – 2:00 PM): Warmer, busier, but excellent lighting for photos.

✔ You will need to show your passport or ID along with your Machu Picchu entry ticket multiple times (train, bus, and entrance).
✔ If you are a student, have your ISIC card ready for the discount.
✔ If you change your passport after booking, bring both the old and new passport.
