We begin this adventure from Cusco, we will take a walk of approximately 2 hours to reach Rainbow Mountain.
TRAVEL ITINERARY
Cusco / Cusipata / Phulawasipata / Vinicunca / Cusco
- This incredible day we will start very early by picking you up from your hotel between 4:00 to 4:30 a.m. approximately to head towards the south of Cusco. During the trip of approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, you can take the opportunity to rest a little until you reach the town center of Cusipata. Along the way, you will admire picturesque Andean towns, ancient Inca platforms and majestic mountains.
- Later, you will have breakfast near the town center of Cusipata, you will enjoy a delicious breakfast (semi buffet) and its inevitable coca tea. - After 2 hours of walking, we will reach the impressive Rainbow Mountain(5,020 m/ 16,470 feet), where you will have time to marvel at this unique natural formation. Our guide will share information about its origin and meaning as you explore the surroundings and capture spectacular images. After enjoying at the top for 30 minutes to an hour, we will descend for an average of 2 hours to the starting point of the hike.
- Upon arriving at the starting point of the walk, we will board the transport to Cusipata, where you will enjoy a varied buffet lunch. Finally, we will return to Cusco in our transportation around 4:00 p.m. or 5:00 p.m.
