Day 01: Cusco - Pacchanta + 7 lagoons + Pacchanta + Cusco

  • We will begin the tour to the seven lagoons of Ausangate with pickup from your hotel in the city of Cusco at approximately 4:30 a.m. We will start our journey toward the community of Pacchanta, where we will appreciate high Andean landscapes as well as local flora and fauna. In Pacchanta, we will have our local breakfast and a brief pause for our guide to explain more about our adventure.
  • After breakfast, we will get ready to begin the hike to the seven lagoons of Ausangate. The route is approximately 7.5 km. We will visit the lagoons of Azulqocha, Otorongo, Puqacocha, Alqacocha, Qomercocha, and Patacocha. In addition, we will be able to appreciate stunning mountains such as Ausangate, Mariposa, Jampa, Pucapunta, Caracol, and Tinke.
  • During the hike, we will see native birds of the area, alpacas, llamas, many vizcachas, and with luck, the majestic Andean condor. At the end of the circuit, we will return to enjoy a comforting lunch in the community of Pacchanta. Then, we will take a rest in the medicinal hot springs of the place, so you can relax and recover energy after this incredible experience in the Andes.
