TRAVEL ITINERARY

Day 01: Cusco / Challacancha / Soraypampa / Humantay Lake / Skydome

  • This exciting two-day adventure to Humantay and Salkantay will begin with pickup from your hotel in our private transportation. We will then head to the town of Mollepata, where we will enjoy a delicious breakfast before continuing toward Challacancha on a journey of approximately 3 hours.
  • Once there, we will begin our hike while enjoying the impressive landscapes and the lush flora and fauna surrounding us, until we reach the Soraypampa campsite.
  • Upon arrival at the campsite, we will settle into our comfortable sky domes, which offer a spectacular view of the starry sky, as well as private bathrooms and hydromassage showers.
  • We will be located in a privileged spot, facing the imposing snow-capped peaks of Salkantay and Humantay, where our staff will welcome us with a delicious lunch. Afterwards, we will have free time, and in the afternoon we will visit the impressive Humantay Lake, known for its turquoise waters and located at 4,200 meters above sea level. We will return to the campsite to enjoy dinner and spend an unforgettable night under the starry sky.
    • Food: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
    • Accommodation: luxury domes “Salkantay Sky Domes”.
  • Today we will face our greatest challenge as we reach the highest point of our hike, from where we will be able to enjoy some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world. We will be surrounded by the imposing mountains known as Apus during the Inca era, gradually ascending along the path known as “The Trail of the 7 Serpents,” until we reach the impressive Salkantay Pass, located at 4,638 meters above sea level / 15,213 feet above sea level. We will immerse ourselves in nature and deeply connect with ourselves, losing track of time.
  • After admiring the wonderful view of the majestic Salkantay snow-capped mountain and feeling the energy of its power, we will descend through a rocky landscape until we reach Soraypampa, where our lunch spot awaits us at Sky Camp.
  • The effort will be worth it, as we will experience something truly extraordinary on the Salkantay hike. Then, we will continue our final walk to the point where our transportation awaits, ready to take us back to the city of Cusco. We expect to arrive approximately between 6:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
