Itinerario tour Inti Raymi Full Day
DAY 1: Hotel Cusco / Qoricancha / Plaza de Armas / Sacsayhuaman / hotel Cusco
- Experience the energy of Inti Raymi, the most important festival in Cusco, with an itinerary designed for you to enjoy every moment of this impressive Inca ceremony. From the Inca’s departure at Qoricancha to the grand staging at Sacsayhuamán, this tour will take you through the key scenarios of the Festival of the Sun.
- We start the day with pickup at your hotel in Cusco and head to the Qoricancha Temple, the ancient Temple of the Sun of the Incas. Here you will witness the first staging of Inti Raymi, where the Inca, accompanied by his imperial entourage, welcomes attendees and performs the greeting to the Sun, a sacred ritual with coca leaves in honor of Inti, the Sun god.
- From Qoricancha we walk to the Main Square, where the second part of the ceremony takes place: the “Meeting of times and coca leaf ceremony”. Here, the Inca and his wife, the Coya, are carried on litters to the ceremonial Ushnu, surrounded by music, dances and the presence of the four suyos of Tahuantinsuyo. This representation lasts approximately 45 minutes and symbolizes the union between past and present.
- After the staging at the Main Square, we board our transportation and head to Sacsayhuamán, the main stage of Inti Raymi. Here, in the reserved grandstand (green sector), you will enjoy the central ceremony, where representatives of the four suyos (Chinchaysuyo, Antisuyo, Collasuyo and Contisuyo) pay homage to the Inca and the Sun God with dances, chants and offerings. This impressive ceremony lasts approximately three hours and is the culminating point of Inti Raymi.
- After the ceremony at Sacsayhuamán, we board our transportation to transfer back to your hotel in Cusco, thus closing an unforgettable day full of history, culture and mysticism.

Health Recommendations
- The Inti Raymi activities take place in Cusco, at more than 3,300 m.a.s.l., so it is recommended to arrive at least one day in advance for proper acclimatization. If you have heart or respiratory conditions, high blood pressure, or if you are pregnant, please inform the agency before booking.
- The ceremonies are held outdoors and may last several hours. Move at your own pace and take breaks whenever needed.
- Stay hydrated throughout the day, as the altitude and sun exposure can cause fatigue and dehydration.
- Bring sunscreen, a hat or cap, sunglasses, water, light snacks, and any personal medication you may require.
- Avoid heavy meals and alcoholic beverages the day before the event, as they may affect your performance at high altitude.
- The weather in Cusco can vary between strong sun, wind, and light rain. Wear layered clothing and a waterproof jacket, as the event takes place in open areas.
- Respect the environment, green areas, and the local population during the ceremonies and transfers.

- Maintain a respectful attitude; avoid excessive noise, as this is a cultural and spiritual ceremony.
