Itinerary tour to Machu Picchu by scenic train
Day 01: Cusco + Ollantaytambo Station + Aguas Calientes Village
- On this special day, our team will pick you up in the morning directly from your accommodation in Cusco (the exact time will depend on your location). Aboard our private transport, we will begin the journey to the train station, crossing the impressive Andes mountain range. Along the way, you will enjoy natural landscapes, farmland, and traditional Andean villages that still preserve their living essence.
- Upon arrival at the Ollantaytambo station, we will wait for the moment to board the tourist train that will take you to the town of Aguas Calientes. This approximately 2-hour journey is an experience in itself: a visual tour through the Sacred Valley, surrounded by mountains, rivers, agricultural terraces, and unique flora and fauna.
- Once in Aguas Calientes, our staff will welcome you and escort you to your hotel. You will have the afternoon free to rest or explore this charming town, famous for its narrow streets, peaceful atmosphere, and proximity to the Inca citadel. If you wish, you may also visit the relaxing natural hot springs, perfect for renewing your energy before your visit to Machu Picchu the following day.
- Accommodation: Hotel in Aguas Calientes.
Day 02: Aguas Calientes + Machu Picchu + Aguas Calientes + Ollantaytambo + Cusco
- Breakfast at the hotel in Aguas Calientes.
- To experience the magic of Machu Picchu at its best and avoid the crowds, we will begin the day very early. After a revitalizing breakfast at the hotel, we will head with our guide to the ecological bus station that will take us, on a ride of approximately 30 minutes, to the entrance of the sanctuary.
- Upon arrival, we will enter this jewel of the Andean world: Machu Picchu, the ancient sacred city of the Incas. The energy of the place can be felt from the very first step, surrounded by towering mountains and landscapes that awaken inner connection.
- During a guided tour of approximately 2 hours, we will explore the main sectors of the citadel. We will learn about its history, architecture, and the deep spiritual meaning that surrounds every corner of this ancestral legacy.
- At the end of the visit, we will return to the town of Aguas Calientes for lunch and to share impressions of this transformative experience. Later, we will take the train back to Ollantaytambo, where private transport will be waiting to take us back to the city of Cusco, dropping you off at your hotel and concluding the day with your transfer.
