DAY 01: Airport + Lima + Barranco + Huaca Pucllana + Plaza de Armas + Cathedral

  • Upon your arrival in Lima, we will be waiting for you at Jorge Chávez International Airport to transfer you to your hotel.
  • In the afternoon, you will begin a City Tour of Lima, visiting Barranco, the bohemian district, where you will see the Bridge of Sighs, La Ermita, and the monument to Chabuca Granda.
  • You will then continue to Miraflores to enjoy the Love Park with its view of the Pacific Ocean and a panoramic view of Huaca Pucllana, an ancient pre-Inca temple.
  • You will visit Lima’s Historic Center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you will see the Palace of Justice, Paseo de los Héroes Navales, colonial mansions, the Main Square (Government Palace, Cathedral, Archbishop’s Palace, and City Hall), and San Martín Square.
  • At the end of the tour, you will return to your hotel to rest.

  • After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Nazca airfield for one of the most fascinating experiences of the trip: the flight over the Nazca Lines.
  • On board a small tourist plane, you will fly over the Nazca desert, home to one of the world’s most impressive archaeological enigmas. These figures were studied by Dr. María Reiche, who proposed that they formed the largest astronomical calendar on the planet.
  • During a 30–35 minute flight, you will see around 12 of the most iconic figures, ranging from 15 to 300 meters in length, enjoying a unique aerial view of these mysterious geoglyphs.
  • In the afternoon, you will head to the bus terminal to board a night tourist bus to Arequipa.

  • You will arrive in Arequipa at approximately 5:00 a.m., where our staff will meet you at the bus terminal and transfer you to your selected hotel in the city. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a unique experience visiting the sillar quarries, the volcanic stone that gave character and its name to the famous White City.
  • During the tour, you will see the work of master stonemasons, admire sculptures carved in sillar, and walk through the enigmatic Culebrillas canyon, surrounded by impressive natural rock formations.
  • The visit will end at the Yanahuara viewpoint, from where, depending on the season, you can enjoy privileged views of the majestic Misti Volcano and other Andean landscapes.
  • At the end of the tour, you will return to the hotel to rest, with the evening free to stroll around Arequipa’s charming Main Square.

  • After breakfast, you will begin a journey of approximately 4 hours to the Colca Canyon.
  • Along the way, you will cross Pampa Cañahuas, within the Aguada Blanca National Reserve, where you may spot vicuñas and alpacas.
  • Before reaching the Colca Valley, you will see ancient pre-Columbian terraces that are still used by descendants of the Collagua culture.
  • Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel in the Colca Valley to settle in and rest.
  • In the afternoon, it is recommended to acclimatize to the altitude. If you feel up to it, you can explore the surroundings or relax in nearby hot springs with panoramic views of the valley.

    • Yanque: known for its colonial church and traditional dances.
    • Coporaque: one of the oldest towns, with beautiful views of the valley.

  • In the afternoon, you will return to Arequipa, where you will board a sleeper bus to Puno.

  • After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Port of Puno to board a tourist boat bound for the Uros and Taquile Islands.
  • The first stop will be on the Uros Islands, floating platforms made of totora reeds, where the locals will share their way of life and show you how they build their islands, houses, and boats.
  • Then you will continue to Taquile Island, famous for its handicraft textiles recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
  • Upon arrival, you will take a walk to Taquile’s Main Square, with time to explore and purchase handmade textiles crafted by the inhabitants.
  • You will enjoy a traditional lunch with beautiful views of Lake Titicaca.

Health and altitude recommendations
