TRIP DESCRIPTION

Caral is the oldest civilization in the Americas: a city built more than 5,000 years ago in the Supe River Valley, long before the Inca Empire or any other known culture on the continent existed. This full-day tour takes you from Lima to the archaeological site, where a local guide walks with you through the stepped pyramids, circular plazas, sunken temples, and the viewpoint from which you can truly understand the scale of the place. On the way back, a stop in the city of Huacho and its waterfront promenade completes the day before returning to Lima.
