Circuit 1 – Path Along the Upper Terrace
This pass provides exclusive access to the elevated sector of Machu Picchu, where the famous Guardhouse is located, from which you get the classic postcard view of the citadel. The route is brief (about an hour), although it can extend up to two if you take the time to enjoy the landscape and take photos.
This ticket does not include the tour of the temples and stone buildings in the lower part, but it is an ideal alternative if other tickets are sold out. It is available throughout the year and is suitable for people of all ages.

Circuit 1 – Ascent to Machu Picchu Mountain
Includes access to Circuit 1 plus the demanding hike to the summit of Machu Picchu Mountain (3,082 m.a.s.l. / approx. 10,112 feet). Along the 2.5 km (approx. 1.5 miles) uphill climb via Inca trails, you get spectacular views of the citadel and the surrounding mountainous landscape.
This route is intended for people with good physical condition, aged 18 and over, and is available every day of the year. Capacity is limited, so it is recommended to book in advance.

Circuit 1 – Path to Intipunku (Sun Gate)
This ticket allows you to walk Circuit 1 and hike to Intipunku, the ancient entrance to Machu Picchu in Inca times. The route is 2 km (approx. 1.2 miles) uphill and is full of history, as it is part of the Qhapaq Ñan road network.
From the top, you get a privileged view of the sanctuary. The route is open to visitors of all ages, exclusively during high season (June 1st to October 15th).

Circuit 1 – Route to the Inca Bridge
This access allows you to enjoy the classic panoramic view from the Guardhouse and also hike to the Inca Bridge, a short and simple trail that covers less than 1 km (approx. 0.6 miles) on flat paths, with a unique view of the natural surroundings.
The bridge, made of stone and wood, served as a strategic access point towards the jungle in the Inca era. The route is open only during high season and for those over 18 years old.

Circuit 2 – Classic Tour
This is the ideal ticket for a first visit. It allows you to tour Circuit 2, also called the classic route, which includes the most emblematic temples of Machu Picchu: the Temple of the Sun, the Sacred Rock, the Temple of the Three Windows, the Main Temple, and more.
Furthermore, it provides access to one of the best panoramic views from the Guardhouse area. It is a 2.5-hour route and is accessible throughout the year.

Circuit 2 – Route Along the Lower Terrace
Similar to the classic route, this ticket also provides access to Circuit 2, but from a slightly lower perspective. The same main buildings are visited, but the angle for the classic photo is taken from a lower terrace.
It is an excellent alternative option if the upper classic route ticket is unavailable. Suitable for visitors of all ages.

Circuit 3 – Route to Huayna Picchu Mountain
This pass allows you to tour Circuit 3 and hike to the famous Huayna Picchu Mountain (2,693 m.a.s.l. / approx. 8,835 feet), one of the most exciting routes in the complex. The ascent takes approximately 1 hour and offers unique views from its summit.
The route is demanding, with steep stone staircases, but it offers one of the best panoramic postcards of Machu Picchu. It is only permitted for adults and it is recommended to book months in advance.

Circuit 3 – Royal Route
This ticket allows you to tour Machu Picchu via Circuit 3, known as the “royal path” because it includes constructions of great ceremonial and historical value: the Temple of the Sun, the Inca’s House, the Temple of the Condor, and more.
From the agricultural area, you get an excellent view of the citadel, and it is often possible to see llamas grazing freely. It is a great alternative if other tickets are sold out.

Circuit 3 – Path to the Gran Caverna (Temple of the Moon)
One of the most enigmatic and least explored routes. This ticket includes Circuit 3 and the trail to the Gran Caverna, also called the Temple of the Moon. It is a demanding route of over 2 km (approx. 1.2 miles) on Huayna Picchu Mountain, only recommended for adult adventurers.
The cavern, carved into the rock, was possibly a ceremonial space. It is available only during high season (June to October).

Circuit 3 – Trail to Huchuy Picchu
This pass offers simple access to a short and accessible hike to Huchuy Picchu, a small elevation next to Huayna Picchu. The hike takes about 30 minutes, and from the summit, you get a beautiful view of the archaeological complex.
The ticket also includes Circuit 3, with access to important temples and terraces. It is only available during high season and for those over 18 years old.
