Experience the Maras and Moray + Chinchero Half-Day Tour with Illa Kuntur Travel, an excursion that takes you to discover an important part of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Our journey begins with pickup from your hotel as we head to Chinchero, a charming Andean town where time seems to have stood still. Here we will explore its colonial square, admire the Inca remains, and visit a traditional textile center where local families share the ancestral art of weaving with alpaca wool and natural dyes.
We will continue to Moray, a unique archaeological site made up of circular terraces that descend in the shape of an amphitheater. It is believed that this place was an Inca agricultural laboratory, where microclimates were studied for plant domestication.
Our next destination will be the impressive Maras Salt Mines, a set of more than 3,000 pools that have been used since pre-Inca times for salt extraction. Their white terraces create a spectacular landscape and offer one of the most photogenic views of the Sacred Valley.
Finally, after a day full of history, culture, and Andean landscapes, we will return to the city of Cusco. The tour ends near the historic center, ideal for continuing to explore the magic of the capital of the Tahuantinsuyo on your own.
