Cusco / Taray Viewpoint / Pisac / Ollantaytambo / Aguas Calientes Town
We will visit Pisac and its world-famous artisan market, Ollantaytambo and its cultural and architectural richness, and then spend the night in Aguas Calientes.
Aguas Calientes / Machu Picchu / Ollantaytambo / Cusco
Early in the morning we will visit Machu Picchu, and in the afternoon we will return to Cusco.
Itinerary Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu 2 days
DAY 01: CUSCO + TARAY VIEWPOINT + PISAC + OLLANTAYTAMBO + AGUAS CALIENTES TOWN
- Your adventure begins with pickup from your hotel at approximately 7:30 a.m. First stop at the Taray Viewpoint, gateway to the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
- We continue towards Pisac. Along the way, we’ll stop at the Taray Viewpoint to capture stunning photographs of the valley stretching before us. In Pisac, we’ll visit the archaeological complex with its agricultural terraces and the artisan market, known for its ceramics, textiles, and silver jewelry.
- Buffet lunch in Urubamba featuring typical regional dishes.
- With full stomachs and renewed spirits, we’ll head to Ollantaytambo, an imposing Inca fortress known for its monumental terraces, temples, and ceremonial water fountains. Guided tour of the archaeological complex.
- From Ollantaytambo, we’ll board a train that will take us on a scenic journey of approximately 2 hours to the town of Machu Picchu, also known as Aguas Calientes.
- Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, our attentive staff will be waiting to accompany you to your hotel, where you can settle in and enjoy a well-deserved rest.
- Meals: Buffet lunch in the Sacred Valley.
- Accommodation: Hotel in Aguas Calientes.
DAY 02: AGUAS CALIENTES + MACHU PICCHU + OLLANTAYTAMBO + CUSCO
- After breakfast, we will head to the bus station to Machu Picchu. A short 30-minute ride will take us to the entrance gate of Machu Picchu.
- Inside the Inca citadel, we will have a guided tour of approximately 2 to 3 hours. During this visit, you will feel the unique energy that this mystical place radiates.
- After exploring Machu Picchu, we will return to the town of Machu Picchu by eco-friendly buses. There you will have free time to enjoy a delicious lunch (not included).
- Afterwards, you will return by tourist train to Ollantaytambo, where our staff will be waiting for you near the train station to take you by our transportation back to the city of Cusco, where our Machu Picchu tour from Cusco will end.
- Meals: Breakfast at the hotel.
