A unique experience of Inka art and pottery, where visitors create their own handmade piece using ancestral techniques and colors, guided by Master Artisan Vicente Rayo Quispe. More than a workshop, it is a space of peace, well-being, and creativity that connects you with the living tradition of the Sacred Valley.
PROGRAM SUMMARY
Inca Painting Workshop – Express Version (1.5 hours)
We will begin with pickup from the participants’ hotel in Cusco and head to the workshop in Pisac. There, they will be welcomed with a brief sound ceremony to enter a state of calm and connection. Then, participants will paint their own piece guided by Master Artisan Vicente Rayo Quispe, who will finally add the finishing touches and deliver the completed works as a souvenir of the experience.

Inca Painting Workshop and Ancestral Sounds (3 hours)
This program offers a more complete experience: from pickup in Cusco, a traditional welcome with flowers and ancestral sounds, entry to the workshop, preparation of materials, and the full creative process. Participants will paint guided by Master Vicente Rayo and then create their own free design. Finally, they will visit the “Sounds of the Andes” Interpretation Center for an immersion in Andean ancestral sounds before the farewell.

Full-Day Ceramics and Inca Art in the Sacred Valley
A full day dedicated to Andean art and tradition. We will start with pickup in Cusco toward Pisac, to enjoy an immersive experience at the Inca Ceramics Workshop Museum. Participants will learn about traditional ceramics, create their own clay design, enjoy an Andean lunch, and continue with an artisan painting session. The day ends with an ancestral sound performance and time to purchase local community handicrafts before the farewell.

Detailed Itinerary
OPTION 01: Cuyo Chico Community + Andean Welcome + Ancestral Sounds & Painting (1.5 H)
- Your experience begins with meeting the local guide in the community of Cuyo Chico, in Pisac,
either in the morning or in the afternoon. After a brief introduction, you will get to know the space
where the interpretation of ancient Andean sounds will take place. - You will be welcomed with a traditional greeting and a brief introduction to the Andean worldview,
while the host explains the role of music and instruments in daily life and in the community’s ceremonies. - Then, you will enjoy the interpretation of ancestral Andean sounds. You will be able to listen, feel the
vibrations, and interact with some instruments. At the end, there will be a group closing, and you will
have a moment to take photos and say goodbye to your hosts.

OPTION 02: Cusco + Andean Welcome + Free-Style Painting Design (3 H)
- The tour begins with a welcome with flowers and ancestral sounds, a symbolic moment of reception that invites you to connect with the energy of the Sacred Valley and prepare yourself for the creative experience.
- You will then enter the workshop, where the local team will briefly introduce the workspace and provide you with all the materials needed for the handcrafted painting.
- Next, you will begin the guided painting with Master Artisan Vicente Rayo, who will teach you the basics of the technique, the use of colors, and the main motifs inspired by Andean art.
- Afterwards, you will enjoy a space for free creation of your own design, where you can express your personal style on the piece, combining traditional symbols with your own inspiration.
- At the end, the finished pieces will be handed over, and you will get ready to continue the experience at the Interpretation Center “Sonidos del Ande”.
- The visit concludes with an ancestral Andean sounds performance at the Interpretation Center “Sonidos del Ande”, where you will learn about the origin and meaning of each instrument and feel their vibrations up close before the farewell.

OPTION 03: Cusco + Clay & Painting Workshop with Free Design + Ancient Andean Sounds (Full Day)
- The day begins with your arrival at the Inka Ceramics Workshop-Museum, where you will be welcomed by the master artisan and the local team. From the very start, working with clay is introduced as the core of the experience, with an explanation about the history of Inka pottery and the importance of this art in everyday and ceremonial life in the Andean world.
- You will then take part in a guided interpretation inside the workshop, where you will observe original pieces and learn about the symbols, shapes, and traditional colors that inspire the region’s ceramic art the foundation for the hand modeling and clay work you will do later.
- Next, you will begin creating your own handcrafted design in clay, working entirely by hand under the guidance of the master artisan. This moment is ideal to connect with your creativity and with the ancestral techniques that remain alive in the community.
- At midday, you will enjoy an Andean lunch prepared with local products a perfect pause to share your impressions and continue learning about the culture of the Sacred Valley.
- After lunch, you will continue with the hand-painted pottery experience, where you will add color and final details to your clay ceramic piece, applying designs and motifs inspired by Inka art.
