TOUR DESCRIPTION

A unique Inca art and pottery experience where visitors create their own handcrafted piece using ancestral techniques and colors, guided by Master Artisan Vicente Rayo Quispe. More than just a workshop, it is a peaceful space for well-being and creativity that connects participants with the living traditions of the Sacred Valley.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Program 01

Inca Painting Workshop – Express Version (1.5 Hours)

We will begin by picking up participants from their hotel in Cusco and traveling to the workshop in Pisac. Upon arrival, they will be welcomed with a brief sound meditation designed to promote calm and connection. Participants will then paint their own piece under the guidance of Master Artisan Vicente Rayo Quispe. Finally, the Master Artisan will add the finishing touches and present the completed artwork as a keepsake from the experience.

Inca Painting and Ancestral Sounds Workshop (3 Hours)

This program offers a more complete experience, beginning with hotel pickup in Cusco and a traditional welcome featuring flowers and ancestral sounds. After entering the workshop and preparing the materials, participants will begin the full creative process. They will paint under the guidance of Master Artisan Vicente Rayo Quispe and then create their own original design. Finally, they will visit the “Sounds of the Andes” Interpretation Center for an immersive introduction to ancestral Andean sounds before saying goodbye.

Participants will learn about traditional pottery, create their own design in clay, enjoy an Andean lunch, and continue with a hands-on painting session. The day concludes with a presentation of ancestral sounds and time to purchase locally made handicrafts before the farewell.

DETAILED ITINERARY

OPTION 01: Cuyo Chico Community + Andean Welcome + Ancestral Sounds and Painting (1.5 Hours)

  • Your experience begins with a meeting with the local guide in the community of Cuyo Chico, Pisac, in the morning or afternoon. After a brief introduction, you will visit the space where the ancestral Andean sound presentation will take place.
  • You will be welcomed with a traditional greeting and a brief introduction to the Andean worldview, while your host explains the role of music and instruments in the community’s daily life and ceremonies.
  • You will then enjoy a presentation of ancestral Andean sounds. You will have the opportunity to listen, feel the vibrations, and interact with some of the instruments. At the end, the group will take part in a closing activity, followed by time for photographs and a farewell with the hosts.
