Experience an unforgettable night at the Skylodge, 400 meters above the ground in the mountains of Urubamba, Peru, with our exclusive 3-day Machu Picchu and Sky Lodge Tour by Illa Kuntur Travel & Wellness. You will ascend via zipline or via ferrata, fully equipped with everything you need for your safety. Once inside your hanging capsule, enjoy the breathtaking view of the Sacred Valley of the Incas and fall asleep to the relaxing sound of the Vilcanota River under a starry sky.
Combine a day of adventure in the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas with stunning landscapes. PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Cusco / Salt Mines / Moray / Urubamba / Pachar / Sky Lodge Adventure
On this first day, we will visit the Maras salt mines and the archaeological site of Moray, and then head to the Sky Lodge.
Sky Lodge / Zipline / Ollantaytambo / Train Ride / Aguas Calientes
On the second day, we will enjoy the zipline activity and then travel by panoramic train to Aguas Calientes.
Machu Picchu / Aguas Calientes / Ollantaytambo / Return by Train / Cusco
On this last day, we will visit Machu Picchu for 2 hours or more and then return to Cusco.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 01: Cusco + Maras Salt Mines + Moray + Urubamba + Pachar + Sky Lodge Adventure
- Your adventure begins with pickup from your hotel in Cusco at 8:00 a.m. The first destination is Chinchero, a picturesque town one hour away from Cusco. In Chinchero, you will enjoy a textile demonstration with handmade pieces created by local women using natural dyes.
- We will then visit Moray and its famous circular terraces, an ancient Inca agricultural laboratory. After touring the site and taking photos, we will head to the Maras Salt Mines, just 3 km away, to see more than 3,400 active salt ponds.
- After a lunch with a variety of options, we travel to Pachar to ascend to the Sky Lodge capsules, where we will spend the night. You will walk up to the transparent capsules where you will have dinner while observing the illuminated Sacred Valley and the stars of the Milky Way.
- Meals: Lunch in Urubamba and gourmet dinner in the capsule dining room

Day 02: Sky Lodge + Ziplines + Ollantaytambo + Train Ride + Aguas Calientes
- Breakfast at the Skylodge.
- This day begins with a delicious breakfast and spectacular views. At the scheduled time, get ready to descend by zipline (Optional).
- Once at the base, our transport will be waiting to take you to the train station in the town of Ollantaytambo, where we will board the Inca Rail Voyager class train to Aguas Calientes, the town near Machu Picchu.
- During the Scenic Train ride, the landscape will be part of the reward of this journey. Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, our team will be waiting for you at the station exit to take you to your hotel, where you will spend the night. After check-in, you will have free time to relax in the afternoon.
- You can choose to unwind in the hot springs of Aguas Calientes or stroll through the picturesque streets of this charming town.

Day 03: Machu Picchu + Aguas Calientes + Ollantaytambo + Return by Train + Cusco
- Breakfast at the Hotel in Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Town)
- Afterwards, together with your private guide, you will head to the station to take the eco-bus that will take you on a 30-minute ride to the very entrance of the Inca citadel.
- After marveling at its unique beauty and taking your first photos, our expert guide will accompany you on a 2 to 3-hour guided tour of the site. You will visit all the most important points of Machu Picchu and learn a lot from your guide (according to the available circuit).
- When you are ready to leave, you will take the eco-bus back to Aguas Calientes. You will have time to choose a restaurant for lunch before boarding the return train. At the time indicated on your ticket, you will take the train back to Ollantaytambo, where your driver will be waiting to take you back to your hotel in Cusco.
- In this way, we will conclude the 3-day tour in Cusco, Sky Lodge, and Machu Picchu.
