DESCRIPTION OF THE TRIP
The 2-day ATV Adventure to Maras, Moray, Machu Picchu, and Huayna Picchu is ideal for those seeking a unique experience in Cusco. You will enjoy an exciting ATV ride through the impressive landscapes of the Sacred Valley, exploring the archaeological sites of Maras and Moray, before embarking on an unforgettable visit to Machu Picchu and the majestic Huayna Picchu Mountain combining adrenaline, culture, and breathtaking scenery.
The adventure begins with a transfer from your hotel in Cusco to the Sacred Valley, where we start the ATV ride. In Moray, you will discover the enigmatic circular terraces used by the Incas for agricultural experimentation, while in Maras, you will explore the famous salt mines an incredible set of salt ponds carved into the mountainside.
After the ATV experience, we continue to Ollantaytambo, where you will board the panoramic train to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Town). Here, you will spend the night to prepare for the big adventure the following day.
Early in the morning, we head up to Machu Picchu, where you will take a guided tour of the Inca citadel, exploring its temples, terraces, and plazas. Afterwards, we ascend to Huayna Picchu, the iconic mountain that offers a spectacular view of the Inca wonder. Following this unforgettable experience, we begin the return journey by train to Ollantaytambo and then by tourist transport back to Cusco, concluding a trip full of adventure and culture.
PROGRAM SUMMARY

We begin the adventure with a transfer from Cusco to Cruzpata, where we will board the ATVs to ride through the landscapes of the Sacred Valley. We will visit Moray, the ancient Inca agricultural laboratory, and the Maras Salt Mines, an impressive set of salt ponds on the mountainside. Then, we continue to Ollantaytambo to board the panoramic train to Aguas Calientes, the gateway to Machu Picchu.

Early in the morning, we head to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, where we will enjoy a guided tour through its temples, terraces, and plazas. Afterwards, we ascend to the imposing Huayna Picchu Mountain, which offers a unique panoramic view of the sanctuary. After the visit, we return to Aguas Calientes, board the train back to Ollantaytambo, and finally take a tourist bus back to Cusco, closing an unforgettable experience.
ITINERARIO DE VIAJE
DAY 01: CUSCO + MARAS + MORAY +OLLANTAYTAMBO + AGUAS CALIENTES
- We begin this exciting experience with the ATV tour through the Sacred Valley, combining adventure and culture in a single journey. You will be picked up from your hotel for a brief safety briefing and vehicle practice before heading to the impressive archaeological sites of Moray and the Maras Salt Mines. Along the way, you will admire Inca agricultural architecture and their advanced irrigation systems, which still amaze with their precision and functionality.
- You will have 25 minutes at each site to explore Moray, known as the Inca agricultural laboratory, and the Maras Salt Mines, a set of salt ponds used since pre-Inca times where you can observe the salt-making process. After the ATV adventure, we will head to Urubamba, where you will enjoy a buffet lunch at a local restaurant featuring the best of Andean cuisine.
- In the afternoon, we continue to Ollantaytambo, where we will board the scenic train to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Town), where you will rest before visiting Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu the following day.
- Meals: Lunch in the Sacred Valley.

DAY 02: AGUAS CALIENTES + MACHU PICCHU + HUAYNA PICCHU + AGUAS CALIENTES + OLLANTAYTAMBO + CUSCO
- Breakfast at the hotel in Aguas Calientes.
- After breakfast, we continue with the transfer to the eco-bus station to ascend to the Archaeological Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, in a journey of approximately 25 minutes. Upon arrival, you will immerse yourself in the history of this iconic Inca city, exploring its plazas, temples, pathways, terraces, and aqueducts, accompanied by our expert guide, who will provide insights into the architecture, culture, and chronicles of this enigmatic city.
- After the guided tour, we begin the ascent to Huayna Picchu Mountain, one of the most impressive peaks surrounding Machu Picchu, located at 2,667 m.a.s.l. This hike, lasting about 1 hour and 30 minutes, is an exciting challenge with steep trails, but the reward at the top is an unparalleled panoramic view of the Inca citadel and its natural surroundings.
- From the top, you will be able to capture stunning photographs of Machu Picchu from a unique perspective.
- After the exploration, we descend to the entrance of the sanctuary to board the bus back to Aguas Calientes. Here you will have free time for lunch and to explore the town before boarding the train back to Ollantaytambo.
- Upon arrival, our team will be waiting to transfer you back to your hotel in Cusco, closing a day full of history, adventure, and unforgettable landscapes.
